Return to Monte Bello Meetings
Good Evening Good Brothers,
I hope this email finds you well. For those not able to attend our last meeting we missed you. We had ten members in attendance. A lot of items were discussed and covered. Brother Marvin introduced the UNA Sportsman Club Lion Pride and Auction on Thursday, August 13th at the Marriott Conference Center. Pete Rose is the event speaker. Seats for the event are $125 each and the funds from the event will be used to support UNA athletics, which the Monte Bello lodge also supports and provides contributions to. Brother Marvin is offering to handle reserving as many seats as needed for our KOP membership for members and any of their family or friends wanting to attend this event as a group. If you wish to participate in this event as a member of KOP, please let Marvin know at our next meeting on March 23rd or as soon as possible.
Also discussed at this meeting was the Supreme Lodge 3rd period Quarterly report and Quarterly meeting. Part of the discussion included what other lodges across our country is currently doing to recruit new members and create new lodges.
We also discussed potential ways to recruit younger members. It was also considered how our membership might assist the Prattville/Montgomery Lodge in recruiting new members for their lodge. Unfortunately, we have not been able to reach or contact Brother Andrew Moulton in the Prattville/Montgomery Lodge #9 for several weeks and we are not sure of his situation or interest in helping move his lodge forward. I have spoken with Brother William Frey and he remains determined in his effort keeping this lodge active and moving forward. Brother William has also not been able to contact or talk with Brother Andrew for several weeks. We are all hoping that everything is OK with Andrew and that he is just tied up with his job as an Air Force Serviceman and we will hear from him soon.
We also discussed the upcoming Grand Lodge Meeting on Saturday, June 20th, in Florence and the upcoming Supreme Lodge Convention in Newark New Jersey between July 30th through August 7th. Please plan on attending the Grand Lodge Meeting in June. It is expected that Brother Bruce Brown who is running for the Supreme Lodge Chancellor position, will be in attendance at this meeting.
Again our next meeting will be on Monday, March 23rd, at the usual time and place. I hope to see each of you at this meeting.
With Warmest Regards,
Brother Steve
