During the meeting, the following items were discussed:
Brother Rob asked for reports of any old or new business. Brother Leslie updated the membership on his proposed diversionary youth program by saying that things had gotten a little more complicated with the proposal than he had first anticipated and that he would provide the group with additional information at a later meeting. Brother Steve provided the members with emails from four persons interested in getting involved with the Alabama Knights of Pythias. The interested parties are Adam Nortick, Jeremy Reeves, and the two others who merely provided their email address. Some interested parties indicated that they live in the Birmingham area. The lodge members suggested that we try to make further contact with the interested parties and set up a meeting. Brother Steve also provided the group with an email from Vicki Kes, where she indicated she had located a stone monument in Woodstock, Northern Bibb County, Alabama, memorializing the KOP Goodwater Lodge #102. Brother Rob reported that Brother Ken Patterson could not attend today’s meeting because, functioning as a fair board member, he was preparing to open the North Alabama State Fair today, which runs through September 17th.
